Mission and objectives
The overarching mission of Jo’s Friends is to make the unknown, known – by providing information and support to patients and carers, and by raising awareness to help speed the end of CUP.
We aim to help make the unknown, known through the objectives of:
- Providing information and support to CUP patients and carers (initially through a website).
- Raising awareness (general public and medical profession) to stimulate change and thereby help speed the end of CUP.
- Undertaking, promoting & supporting research
There are many other sources of information and support for cancer and many excellent organisations promoting research and change. Jo’s Friends are focused specifically on pulling these things together in relation to CUP because it has been ignored, or written-off as 'too difficult', for too long.
