Agenda for change

Within the overall medical profession there is little knowledge about CUP and it is an under-researched, minority, issue area with unreliable statistics.

Until public awareness is raised there will not be the demand for CUP-related research leading to improved treatment and an end to the problem with improved diagnosis.

Improved diagnosis and improved treatment for CUP sufferers is happening gradually as a by-product of other research. Informed medical opinion is that the end of CUP is some 20 years away. One objective of Jo’s friends is to make it happen quicker by stimulating awareness of this little–known phenomenon. Fo more information of what we want and what we are doing see the section on Looking Forward.

We know little of what is happening around the world. Through the World-Wide Web we can learn, share and improve to achieve our objectives.

CUP is a neglected area. I am delighted to support the work of Jo's friends. This website is a fantastic resource.
